The Video Store is the starting point when working with Corel's All-Movie Guide 2. You can click the various objects in the store to start searches, display movie-related information, and so on.

This help topic describes the functions of the Video Store objects. To access detailed online help for any of the Video Store objects, click the object and then click its corresponding Help button.

<B>Search objects</B>
Most search objects perform a specific type of search and then take you to the Main Browser to explore the search results.
<P>
The Information monitor, near the top of the screen, takes you to the Main Browser where you can fine-tune searches and browse through movie information.

The poster to the right of the Video Store attendant takes you to the Main Browser where you can fine-tune searches and browse through celebrity biographies.
<P>
The Media monitor, near the top of the screen, takes you to the Main Browser where you can browse through celebrity biographies that are accompanied by photographs.

The movie poster, to the right of the popcorn machine, takes you to the Main Browser where you can browse through movie profiles that are accompanied by photographs and/or movie posters.

The section names on the video shelves take you to the Main Browser where you can browse through movie profiles that relate to the corresponding categories.

Below the Video Store is a toolbar that includes several icons, some of which initiate searches based on movie attributes that you choose. The Criteria icon filters searches for movies according to genres, styles, ratings, and so on. The Keyword icon initiates searches for movies based on keywords. The Plotfinder icon initiates searches for movies based on plot elements.

The Countries icon initiates searches for movies based on the countries in which they were produced. The Mood icon initiates searches for movies based on a preset mood that you select. The Awards icon provides information about awards won in a year that you select. The Year icon displays information about a movie that you select from a timeline.

<B>Information objects</B>
Other icons shown below the Video Store provide various types of information. The Birthdays icon displays celebrity birthdays based on today's date, by default, or on a date that you select. The Glossary icon provides definitions of movie-related terms. The About icon displays application information.

<B>The Games monitor</B>
The Games monitor, near the top of the screen, enables you to play games based on movie-related information.

<B>The Profile and Settings Computer</B>
The Profile and Settings Computer at the right of the screen accesses your video membership information and configures All-Movie Guide 2. It is recommended that each user create a membership. All-Movie Guide 2 keeps records of each user's movie preferences and uses this information when suggesting movies.

<B>Help objects</B>
In addition to the Help icon shown below the Video Store, you can use the Search Wizard to learn how to work with All-Movie Guide 2.

You can access the Search Wizard by clicking the Video Store attendant. The Search Wizard guides you step-by-step as you learn how to search for and cross-reference information.

<B>The Exit sign</B>
Click the Exit sign in the upper left corner of the Video Store to exit All-Movie Guide 2.

<B>Downloading updates for the All-Movie Guide 2 database</B>
The Corel Web site offers free quarterly updates for the All-Movie Guide 2 database.

<B><I>To download an update:</I></B>
<B>1.</B> You must have a Web browser installed on your computer and an Internet connection.
<B>2.</B> Close the All-Movie Guide 2 application.
<B>3.</B> Launch your Web browser and enter <B>http://www.corel.com</B> in the location text box.
<B>4.</B> Click the Free, Fun & Fantastic link on the Corel Home page.
<B>5.</B> Click the Downloads link on the Free, Fun & Fantastic Web page.
<B>6.</B> Click the All-Movie Guide 2 link on the Downloads Web page.
<B>7.</B> Follow the instructions provided on the All-Movie Guide 2 database download page.
